A) ありがとうございます (arigatou gozaimasu - thank you very much)

B) 家に帰りたいです (ie ni kaeritai desu - I want to go home)

Why A works: ✅ Polite and formal ✅ Perfect for someone higher than you (boss, teacher, elder) ✅ Shows respect and gratitude

Why B doesn't work: ❌ "I want to go home" ❌ In this context = "I'm tired, just let me leave" ❌ Your boss will think you're ungrateful 😅

Tip👉 ありがとうございます is polite as used with someone higher than you

ありがとう is with friends, family, close people
